Waleska is one of the quieter corners of Cherokee County: home to Reinhardt University, rolling hills and wooded acreage west of Canton, and lake-community living around Lake Arrowhead. The Tile Guys are based in the Towne Lake area of Woodstock, ZIP 30189, and we take residential tile jobs in Waleska for homeowners who want a Cherokee County crew that builds showers and floors the right way.
Getting to Waleska from Woodstock 30189
From our home base, Waleska is up I-575 to Canton and then west on the state highways into the hills. It is one of the longer drives in our area, so we are straightforward about it: when we quote a Waleska job we talk through scheduling at the same time, so you know what to expect before you sign anything. The drive changes the calendar, not the work — the substrate prep, waterproofing, and layout are the same as any job in 30189.
What Waleska homes tend to need
Waleska's mix of houses shapes the tile work we see here:
- Homes on acreage and hillside lots — back entries, mudrooms, and laundry rooms that take red clay, wet boots, and pets. A porcelain floor with a sensible grout color stands up to that traffic and cleans up with a mop.
- Lake-community homes — baths and entries that see wet feet and towels all summer, plus guest baths that need to look good and stay easy to clean between visits.
- Older houses and rentals near town — tired tub surrounds, cracked floor tile, and grout that has seen better days. Some of these are repair jobs; some are a full rebuild. We will tell you which one you have.
Tile services we offer in Waleska
Custom tile showers and shower remodels. Fiberglass units and tub surrounds replaced with tiled walk-in showers, niches, benches, and glass-ready curbs — with waterproofing on every wet wall, the curb, and the pan. See custom shower tile installation.
Bathroom tile. Floors, tub surrounds, wainscoting, and heated floors for primary, hall, and guest baths. See bathroom tile.
Kitchen backsplashes. From simple subway to patterned layouts, cut tight around outlets and cabinets. See kitchen backsplash installation.
Tile and wood-look porcelain floors. Kitchens, entries, and mudrooms, with the subfloor checked and flattened first so the finished floor stays solid. See tile flooring.
Repair and regrouting. Cracked tile replacement, regrouting stained or crumbling joints, and recaulking tubs and showers — when the wall behind it is sound enough for a repair to last. See tile repair & regrouting.
Waleska tile questions
Is Waleska in your service area? Yes — Waleska is in Cherokee County, the area we work from Woodstock 30189. It is a longer drive than our core neighborhoods, so call or text with your address and we will confirm scheduling.
Do you work on lake homes and rentals? Yes, as long as it is a residential project. We set showers, floors, and backsplashes and handle tile repairs; we do not take commercial jobs.
How do estimates work? Send photos and rough sizes to start the conversation. The written, itemized estimate comes after an in-home visit, because the condition of the floor and walls decides how the job has to be built. Estimates are free.
Do you list prices on the site? No. Every house is different, so we quote each job in writing after we see it.
