A curbless shower in Woodstock, Canton, or Kennesaw looks open and cleans easier than a high curb. It only works if the slope, waterproofing, and drain are right before the tile goes down. Looks are the last step, not the first.
What curbless actually requires
The floor has to fall to the drain with enough pitch that water does not sit at the bathroom threshold. That usually means a recessed pan or a built slope in the mud bed, not a flat slab with tile stuck on hope. Waterproofing covers the pan and turns up the walls. Tile and grout sit on that system. Skip any of those and the nice open look becomes a soft spot in the subfloor.
Tile choices that help
Large-format floor tile with a slip-resistant finish reads clean and cuts down grout lines. Mosaic on the floor adds grip and follows slope better in tight pans. Walls can take a larger format. We set the layout so cuts land under niches and benches, not in the middle of the walk-in line of sight.
Glass and the dry side
Without a curb, the glass and the floor transition do more work. We plan the threshold so spray stays in the wet zone and the rest of the bath floor stays dry. Linear drains along a wall are common on these jobs. Center drains still work when the pan is built for them.

We will not tile a flat floor and call it curbless. We will not hide a soft subfloor under a pretty mosaic. If the structure will not support the pan, we stop and say so.
